Gevaarlijke apps
Een gemiddelde smartphone-bezitter gebruikt zo’n 48 apps. Tussen dit aantal zit vaak een groot aantal gevaarlijke en onbetrouwbare applicaties: uit onderzoek blijkt dat 1 op de 10 apps niet betrouwbaar is. Het kan zijn dat de gevaarlijke apps privégegevens van de gebruiker lekken, aan je geheugen vreten of de batterij leeg trekken. Over het algemeen ondergaan apps die in de App Store van iPhone komen een uitgebreide test. Toch glippen er altijd foute applicaties doorheen. Bij Android is dit probleem nog groter: deze apps worden niet uitgebreid getest.
